BD-LG (Loop Goop)
BD Loop Goop is strong and durable polyurethane resin sealant made to enclose, insulate, and protect inductance loops for gate, door, and parking applications. Efficiently seals out any moisture and supplies remarkable chemical resistance to antifreeze, gasoline, de-icing salts, hydraulic brake fluid, motor oil, and other hydrocarbons. It provides exceptional adhesion to saw cuts in concrete and asphalt and to wires. BD Loop Goop will continue to stay tough, flexible, and volatile in cold weather. Applying BD Loop Goop does not require heating or mixing. Allows vehicular traffic instantly after application with no need for lane closure. DOT approved by most States.
Use with a 3/16" wide saw blade, and BD Loops 3/16" Preformed Saw-Cut Loops to get the most out of your tube of Loop Goop.
Sealant Saver
With BD Loop Goop, inside each case there is a Sealant Saver.
If you didn't finish off your tube of loop sealant, use the sealant saver to prolong the life of the left over BD Loop Goop.
We understand that sealant is expensive and that it is frustrating to throw out perfectly good loop sealant just because you didn't use the entire tube.
Now we have created the Sealant Saver and have started to include it for free with cases of BD Loop Goop.
This handy Sealant Saver makes an air and water tight seal on your tubes of BD Loop Goop and greatly extends its usable life. The Sealant Saver is made with strong PVC and is threaded to make screwing it onto tubes of BD Loop Goop easy.
Sealant Comparison - How does BD-LG Stack Up?
- BD Loop Goop is not rubber or water based, it is polyurethane. Rubber is susceptible to abrasion and can disintegrate when exposed to sunlight and water. Other chemicals that can cause rubber to disintegrate are antifreeze, salt, oil, petrol, and other solvents and airborne contaminates. Water based items promote shorts to ground and should not be used to seal loops.
- BD Loop Goop comes with a flat 3/16" sealant tip vs. pointed tip. Different from pointed applicators that fill the groove from the top down and require multiple passes to seal the groove, this saves time by sealing the loop from the bottom up in one pass.
- Tip is modified to allow even flow-minimizes overflow waste.
- 30 fluid ounces of sealant in a quart tube. BD Loop Goop has 7% more sealant per tube. 28 fluid ounces is more common for sealant.
- Sealant tip is a removable tip vs. a fixed pointed tip. When shipped in a standard box a damaged tube makes for a complete loss of product and time to file a shipping claim. BD Loop Goop ships with sealant tips removed, to avoid torn boxes and damaged sealant tubes commonly seen with fixed pointed applicators.
- Our full one piece plastic container vs. competitor card board/foil tube. Product is stronger and less prone to breaking or leaking when shipped.
- Low viscosity - Sealant flows and covers the wires. Applying the sealant is easier on your hand when using a caulking gun.
- Self leveling - Sealant will flow and fill in low spots on its own.
