Operators of gated residential communities or large businesses that have gates for security purposes should invest in the EMX CR-2000 Waterproof Wiegand Card Reader and Keypad, available at North Shore Commercial Door. The CR-2000 provides secure access for up to 2,000 users by way of pass cards and/or individual passcodes. RFID induction technology is used by this card reader to communicate with contactless Mifare smart cards. This device is situated in a waterproof metal housing and has a tamper alarm, short circuit protection, and an illuminated keypad for use at night. In addition, the CR-2000 has low power consumption (30mA standby) and can be used standalone for access control of doors, gates, and barrier arms.
