Safety Stopping Bottom Bracket, 2 Inch Track

This Torque Force (by Canimex) garage door safety stopping bottom bracket from North Shore Commercial Door is designed to reduce the risk of a door falling in the event of a section door cable breakage. The cable fixing is on the eye bolt to allow up to 2 inches of travel for the cable adjustment. This bottom bracket with 2-inch track is designed for limit switch installation. The maximum door weight is 1,000 pounds. If a torsion spring breaks, and there is no tension on the cable at the time of the break, this bracket will stop the door from falling. A plastic cap covers the bottom bracket.

After installing and again a year later, inspect the brackets. Make sure the plastic cap is properly located and not damaged. Clean your stop bottom bracket to prevent dirt or other material from accumulating into the trajectory of the blade and rotation module. This is necessary to keep the blade rotating freely in the event of cable breakage. Also, make sure to inspect the blade and track; the red label over the blade must not have any visible wear.
