The MGR: 1-Channel Gate Receiver by Linear is now available to order directly from North Shore Commercial Door. The MGR is an auto sensing MegaCode format gate receiver from Linear that designed for use with automatic gate operators or systems where a remote antenna is needed. Any chance of damage to either the gate operator or the receiver from running off the wrong voltage is eliminated by auto voltage sensing. Nearly all gate operators offer either 24 or 12 volts AC or DC as accessory power. Because the MGR is auto sensing, the receiver recognizes the gate operator's correct voltage. As a result, installers can be assured of always having the correct model gate receiver on the truck.
The MGR uses the MegaCode radio format with over a million possible code combinations unlike receivers and transmitters that contain a typical "coding switch". Each transmitter is pre-set at the factory to a unique code. The receiver is programmed by sending a signal to it from the transmitter(s) that are going to be used with it. This stores the transmitters code into the receiver's memory. The receiver will retain its memory even without power. The receiver will activate only from these "memorized" transmitters. Program up to 40 transmitters into the receiver. The MGR is compatible with all MegaCode transmitters, including two and four channel models and wireless keypads. MegaCode uses a frequency of 318 MHz and features over one million radio codes to eliminate any possibility of code duplication. Programming is simple with the receivers learn mode.
The MGR features a single Form "A" (NO or normally open) relay rated at 30 Volts AC/DC up to 5 Amps. The receiver can operate from 12-30 volts AC or 10.5-30 volts DC and are normally powered from the gate operator. The MGR has an "F" connector for attaching an antenna. It is supplied with a 9-inch whip antenna, three feet of 75 Ohm coaxial cable, bulkhead connector for mounting the antenna outside the gate operator enclosure and mounting hardware. The MGR replaces the MDRG Linear gate receiver.
