PowerMaster Model EMG for High or Vertical Lift Sectional Doors, Rolling Service Doors & Grilles in NEMA 7&9 hazardous locations
PowerMaster model EMG is an industrial duty hoist operator designed for use on rolling service doors, sectional doors with vertical lift or high lift, and grilles in NEMA 7&9 Hazardous Locations.The primary speed reduction is through an industrial gear box with bronze worm gear in an oil bath. Model EMG motor is a high starting torque,continuous duty industrial type, that is protected from overload by a current sensing or thermal type of overload device.
Its motor controller is a full voltage, heavy duty, across the line, magnetic reversing contactor, that is electrically and mechanically interlocked. The electrical components set up in a NEMA 7&9 enclosure integral to the operator. A transformer is supplied to limit control voltage to 24 VAC. Individual terminal strips are supplied for the connection of the power supply line and all control devices. The operator is wired for an open/close/stop control station. The control circuit gives immediate reverse motor wiring on 1Ø operators. Model EMG is positive chain driven with rotary type limit switches that are supplied to limit full open and close travel of the door. The limit switch adjustment is not changed by the removal of the motor or by manually operating the door. A floor level manual hoist chain is supplied for the need of emergency operation of the door. An electrical interlock switch is provided to disable control circuit while manual hoist chain is engaged.
Final drive chain is #50 or larger. Operator is able to be mounted for use of right or left hand in either a horizontal or vertical position.
