The LiftMaster LA500HDTKITSTD toroidal transformer kit from North Shore Commercial Door is compatible with 120 VAC or 240 VAC LiftMaster LA500 Series operators with firmware versions 5.1 or higher. The term 120 VAC means 120 volts AC, and 240 VAC means 240 volts AC. The kit can convert a standard control box on your LA500 Series swing gate operator.
The plastic-insulated toroidal transformer kit includes a rocker-switch. The toroidal transformer is preferred for improving component performance of AC transformer-run operators over battery-run gate openers, and can improve an operator's performance even in sub-zero weather.
