The Ranger 500 Series of gate operators is full of innovative design changes and is defining the next generation of low voltage DC gate operators in the industry. Introducing Quick Connect Harnesses for all standard components, industry first limit switch technology (patent pending), AC charger included with all operators and external reset. Single or Dual gate compatible. Dual gate kit includes water-tight junction box and wire nuts with 35 feet of cable. Linear actuator design allows for mounting in 2 different positions making it easy to hide behind a cross member in the gate which improves the aesthetic appeal. The Ranger 500 series can be solar or AC charged with the solar friendly smart controller. Independent Gate 1 and Gate 2 sensitivity adjustments. Built-in timer to close. Hinged control box cover. The Ranger 500 system design and the accessories recommended are all Solar Friendly, meaning that they require the least amount of energy possible to perform the job they were designed to do. The solar option allows you to install the gate operator in remote areas or in applications where you prefer to be solar charged. Solar charging provides additional isolation from lightning that might damage the unit via the AC power needed for the transformer. Pre-wired solar friendly LCR dual channel receiver. Photo Eye Power Management (PEPM) solar friendly software. Designed to operate with all types of solar friendly accessories without adding solar panels. Ranger solar performance is exceptional and unmatched in the industry, offering up to 65 cycles per day on the standard 6-Watt solar panel.
BATTERY REQUIRED FOR OPERATION (BATTERY NOT INCLUDED)
Battery powered providing real battery backup. Not just one (1) cycle. The battery is charged using the 120V AC Powered Transformer (#520004) OR the Patriot Solar Panel Kit (#520025). Typically, only one panel will be required. The Patriot Swing Gate Operator is capable of a high number of cycles per day. Accessories that are added to your gate operator must be solar friendly accessories and they will be identified as such.
Recommended Battery Type:
- Battery 12-Volt, Group U-1: sealed (maintenance free); 30-amp hour minimum.
- Using a smaller amp hour battery may cause damage to the charging system. The wiring harness has two 1/4" ring terminals to connect to battery posts.
CAUTION: Do not install wet cell battery into control box; this type of battery usually has removable caps used for service and will vent into the control box.
